Job Overview: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily accounting activities of our organization. This key leadership role involves leading a team of accounting professionals, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, implementing and maintaining effective internal controls, and providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic planning. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and lead the accounting team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
  2. Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  3. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  4. Develop and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
  5. Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and implement best practices in accounting operations.
  7. Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring timely completion of audits and compliance with audit requirements.
  8. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and industry trends, ensuring compliance and recommending adjustments to accounting practices as needed.
  9. Assist with the development and implementation of financial systems and software to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  10. Provide support and guidance to other departments on accounting matters, ensuring accurate financial information and promoting financial literacy within the organization.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is highly preferred.
  2. Proven work experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate accounting environment.
  3. Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and experience with financial reporting and analysis.
  4. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  5. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information to stakeholders.
  8. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  9. High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial operations.
