Position Description

• Review hiring packet to ensure all required documents have been provided and that they are accurate & complete.
• Research assigned hiring packets to ensure it has been approved to fill & that it is attached to the requisition number provided by hiring manager.
• Compare hiring packet resume & degree to Fairfax County Class Specifications to ensure the required degree is held by the candidate & that they have the required years of experience.
• Compare the requested hourly rate/annual salary to the Fairfax County pay plans to ensure requested hourly rate/annual salary is between the minimum & midpoint of the pay grade.
• Collaborate with hiring manager to gather incomplete, missing, or inaccurate documents.
• Upon confirming hiring packet is complete & accurate, save the hiring packet to the appropriate location.
• Generate offer letter & personnel action coversheet.
• Notify supervisor that hiring packet is complete and offer letter is ready for review.
• Send hiring packet approval email to hiring manager indicated on the hiring packet checklist.
• Assist with compiling hiring packets into full set of interview paperwork and preparing full interview paperwork for scanning.

Additional Information:

• Hybrid onsite/remote.
• Some flexibility in hours

Skills Required:

• Attention to detail
• Communication skills, especially written (emails)
• Use of FoxIt or similar pdf software to combine and split pdfs, and make edits

Work Experience Required:

• One year HR experience preferred, especially in any capacity with the recruitment, hiring, or onboarding process

Education/Training Required:

• High School diploma, minimum
