As a Water Field Technician, you will be playing a huge part in achieving the above statement. You will be providing a valuable service to our customers, and we will ensure that we provide you with the tools, training and development to provide a high quality of customer service at all times, as well as helping you to establish your career.

Ideally based in the Swindon area covering sites within 2 hours drive, you will be provided with a company vehicle to undertake routine maintenance and inspections during the construction phase and post construction phase. You will use your excellent problem-solving skills to deal with any issues that may arise, while utilising your friendly and confident communication style to deal with any customer queries and liaise with your colleagues.

Other responsibilities include:

* Undertake basic asset management tasks, such as; meter exchanges, customer queries and crossed meters

* Respond to incidents, and in situations were trained, isolate problems. In such instances report and make safe were practicable

* Ensure that the quality and integrity of the network is maintained as part of a structured audit strategy

* Effectively manage work schedule, calls, administration and inventory ensuring you optimise your time and delivery against the metrics set within the business

* When on customer site through diagnostics or observation ensure compliance to relevant legislation surrounding the activity

* Engage with site stakeholders where possible during both planned and unplanned incidents

* Provide monthly report on pre-defined targets/focus areas

The successful candidate will (desirable) have previous experience in a similar role within the Utilities industry and have any necessary qualifications/accreditations. A full, clean driving license is essential.
