Position Description:




  • The Production Supervisor plans and directs the activities of all the assembly department personnel to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity

  • This person oversees work order management, material flow, and material handling to ensure efficient utilization of resources.

  • The Production Supervisor develops and implements safety procedures and supports the Safety Manager in achieving departmental and plant safety

  • The Production Supervisor is accountable for team member’s performance and responsible for employee relations issues, including required

  • Achieves the expected level of quality service by ensuring adherence to company quality standards and proposing improvements to quality procedures based on observations of production process.

  • Participates in 8D Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, ISO audits, validation, and verification activities) as

  • Provides a communication network between direct reports and middle and upper management by facilitating meetings with team members and constant one-on-one

  • Creates and updates processes and systems by analyzing layouts, operating controls and procedures. Champions continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing efforts and works with supporting function to implement

  • Supports cross-functional teams by providing feedback and resources throughout the new product development Encourages team to actively participate in prototyping and training activities.


Professional Profile:


  • 2-year or 4- year degree in an engineering, operations, or related field (Applicable job experience will be considered in lieu of degree.)

  • Proven track record of leading, both directly and through influence. Able to build strong team relations with peers and work collaboratively with people across all levels and

  • Ideally the person will have a minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience managing groups of 75 or more employees and developing a diverse group of workers into a motivated self-improvement based workforce

  • Experience with ISO 9000 / 14001 (or other Quality programs) and Lean Certification or applying lean principles in a manufacturing

  • Proficient with the use of computer-based tools – ERP (JD Edwards preferred), MS Office Suite

  • Demonstrated tenacity for identifying opportunities for improvements and developing

  • Customer-focused with a high sense of

  • Bilingual Spanish is a big plus.
