Pediatric Emergency Department Nurses needed in San Diego, California

Overall Assignment Amount: $71,266+

Overall Weekly Amount: $5,482+

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 13-week assignment

Four 12 hour shifts available

Nightshift 7p-7a

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Active California License
  • Certification: AHA BLS and PALS (Preferred: BSN/MSN TNCC ACLS CPI ENPC CPEN, TCRN or CEN)
  • Experience: 2 years of ED nursing
  • Bilingual Preferred

Benefits:

  • $82/hr and $123/hr overtime. Weekly: $4,264+
  • Weekly Per Diem: $427 ($61/day)
  • Weekly Housing: $791 ($113/day)
  • Weekly Total: $5,482+

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the care of adult and/or pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high-intensity therapies, and interventions
  • Close communication with all members of the healthcare team, as well as the ability to independently recognize the need for early intervention
  • Provide support, education, and comfort to patients and their families during their emergency room experience
  • Provide IV insertion, intubation, medicine administration, blood drawing, and many other medical procedures.
  • Prepare patients for surgery or diagnostic testing
