Duties: Reports to the Director of Women's and Children Services. Works as scrub tech in OB OR, and attends vaginal deliveries. Assistant and maintains an organized flow of clerical, communication, and related activities within the unit. Provides nursing care within scope of practice following unit specific standards of care and the policies and procedures

Skills: Assists the Obstetrician and the RN as a surgical scrub and for other obstetrical procedures Inspects, maintains, decontaminates, and repairs surgical equipment, keeping inventory records Conducts pre and post-surgery patient care, including clipping, transporting and applying dressings Keeps all needed surgical equipment at the ready, including sterile linens, saline, lights, suction machines, etc. Sets up and maintains surgical field, collaborating with nurses and OB's and assisting as required Assembles, transports, and retrieves surgical equipment, ensuring all pieces leave the room Stocks unit and orders supplies as needed Demonstrates knowledge of Patient Rights, knowledge of unit specific CQI and hospital mission. Knowledgeable of personal safety policies and practices, and maintains appropriate body mechanics This opportunity offers the following;

Education: Minimum of one (1) year experience as Scrub Tech required Minimum of on (1) year experience as Unit Clerk/Certified Nurse Assistant preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Operating room experience required Current California Certified Nurse Assistant Certificate preferred or within 6 months of hire. Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required.
