Job Summary

  • The Email Marketing Specialist role is responsible for supporting all aspects of email marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate has a data focused, solutions-oriented mindset, a passionate interest for understanding the user journey, and hands-on experience with email marketing. This roles will focus on email that could influence and expand into additional channels such as SMS and social media in support of organizational digital marketing initiatives.
  • A sample "Day in the Life of" for this role could include the following: Tracking campaign progress, catalog and analyze IP and UTM tracking, build, manage and optimize email campaigns, segment and update customer audience lists, create and deploy email campaigns, support Marketing by repurposing historic email HTML for other campaigns, measure and report on email marketing campaign outcomes to support optimization and improvements.

  • Develop and refine email marketing campaigns and messaging aligned with business goals
  • Proactively work with your manager to prioritize projects, create and manage project timelines.
  • Implement email marketing strategies and campaigns to increase brand exposure and growth
  • Develop and implement new marketing campaigns to our existing customer base, from conception to execution and iteration
  • Propose and implement hypothesis-driven tests, evaluates test and campaign results, and makes and implements recommendations for improvement
  • Set up and manage program KPIs by designing and implementing comprehensive, measurable A/B and multivariate testing plans
  • Develop and maintain multiple automated email campaigns with varying messaging
  • Set up partitioned segments to support various communication goals
  • Recommend and implement new initiatives to improve performance and responsiveness
  • Gather requirements, as needed, and develop briefs for new marketing campaigns
  • Manage daily-weekly-monthly data-driven analysis and reporting of campaign and overall channel performance, including funnel performance, conversion metrics, segment analysis and customer insight
  • Support set-up and QA of email campaigns including audience definition and HTML coding
  • Develop post-send campaign write-ups that include the campaign goals, results, and recommendations or opportunities for optimizing future sends
  • Deploy ad-hoc account-specific communications to customers as needed and as requested by internal stakeholders

Education And Preferred Technical Experience

  • Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position to be considered
  • Technical and functional skills that include experience and familiarity with MailChimp, CRMs, Google Analytics, Google AdWords and LinkedIn and Facebook advertising
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • High-level Proficiency in Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel specifically)
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools and techniques
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting multi-channel digital marketing campaigns that could include Email Marketing and ecommerce
  • Comfortable working as a liaison and cross-functionally as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Preferred but not required: Minimum 2 years of experience working in industries that support pharmaceuticals, physicians, functional medicine, holistic health, wellness, and/or any other comparable health field
