INDI Space is an exclusive, creative and collaborative event space in Beverly Hills.
We are seeking a guest relations associate with a yearning to share coffee, pastries, and amicable experiences with all current and new members of our event space/coworking space! In this role, you'll be responsible for providing excellent customer service to INDI-SPACE members, guests and potential members, assisting with day-to-day operations of the event/coworking space including sales & marketing, event planning, client relationship management, and other related operational tasks, all while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude. ensuring all our guests at INDI-SPACE experience exceptional hospitality and leading the space to be successful against our financial and operational goals. This position will be part-time (20-25 hours per week) to possible full-time.
- Ensure every member and guest at your café has a delightfully hospitable experience.
- Drive new membership conversions as curious onlookers enter the café to investigate who we are
- Ensure that we always meet our high standards of quality for every drink and food item served in the café, through regular tasting.
- Support the daily ordering and receipt of product from vendors when required. Maintain stock of supplies and other items.
- Assist at the coffee bar and manage the day-to-day maintenance of office space.
- Service to clients daily and monitoring check-ins/out.
- Cater to conferences/meetings/events as needed like upkeep of replenishments.
- Monitor iPad for incoming requests/orders by clients and update client info on the iPad when requested.
- Provide excellent customer service, provide tours and product information with prospective and existing members. Sign up new clients and offer our exclusive access tiers.
- Maintain excellent relations with members in the space, vendors, and the local community by participating in and promoting larger community and in-house events.
- Identify the needs of prospective and existing members and recommend tailored solutions responsive to their needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entire space including the meeting rooms and work desks.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of retail/hospitality or customer service experience with a strong preference for coffee, food & beverage.
- Some experience with excellent organization skills to operate and maintain the day-to-day operations of an office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential in performing this position.
- Attention to detail and eager drive towards excellence; some Luxury level experience is highly desirable.
- Physical ability to lift at least 20 lbs.
- Energized by ambitious and challenging goals - you don’t just meet them but surpass them and enjoy looking critically at what’s in front of you and trying new things.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and networking skills with an understanding of local culture required.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask projects through from start to finish.
- Articulate and effective in your written and verbal communications to people at all levels of the company - you get to the point but do it with confidence, humor and grace.
- Flexible and creative in problem-solving - you roll with the punches and have fun doing it. Able to take constructive criticism and corrective measures by management.
- Comfortable using computer programs.
- Love and respect for delicious coffee, food, and amazing guest experiences.
- Must be available to work weekends for selective scheduled member and special events at the venue.
