GROUP COACHES REQUIREMENTS:
- Lead, instruct, and motivate groups in strength, cardio, flexibility, and mobility exercises
- Demonstrate how to carry out proper form and technique
- Ensure safety of individuals throughout the class
- Observe client’s movements; Explain and correct movements to minimize risk of injury
- Give modification exercises when needed
- Sets up and monitors class equipment, and ensures its return in serviceable condition
- Assume the responsibility of training existing clients who are interested in increasing their fitness levels, losing weight and entering competitions
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned (i.e., Social Media Posts)
- Talk to members of the gym about their goals and introduce them to our personal training packages
- Reliable transportation
All classes are outlined the week prior. It is the coach’s responsibility to understand and be able to apply the exercises before the class begins.
MINIMUM QUAIFICATION
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age (Required)
- Certified Instructor or Personal Trainer (Preferred)
- NASM, ISSA, ACE, ACSM, NSCA
- CPR/AED Certification (Required)
- 1+ years of group fitness or personal training (Preferred)
- Customer service (Preferred)
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology and training principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of populations in a diverse community.
- Ability to cooperate and work well with other staff members.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform an aerobic activity for duration of a class, which may include, but not limited to, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, and kneeling
- Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment
Weekly Classes Outline:
- Monday’s strength class will be held at the beginning of the week, so that members are ready to give it their all and start the week off with a huge success! This class is designed with compound movements for all training levels and experiences. Start the week off right with our amazing strength class!
- Tuesdays and Thursdays will be dedicated to focusing on cardio and mobility. Mobility and flexibility are essential for strength, movement, and overall health. Tuesday and Thursday classes will include more aerobically based body weight exercises and intervals followed by an extended period of stretching and mobility exercises. This is the perfect way to actively recover.
- Wednesdays are our Hump Day Pump Days! We will be targeting all of the awesome Humps on the body! These Humps will include your glutes, arms, and delts!
- Friday strength class targets your whole body with lighter weights and higher reps to get pumped for the weekend!
- Saturday Open Class (Coaches decision)
