Functional Business Analyst San Francisco, California Phone and Skype Long Term Job Description: Functional Analysis, Project Management, and Coordination Skills We Seek: Serve as the subject matter expert on matters related to electronic health record (EHR) system capabilities, data extraction and manipulation of decision-making information. Train and prepare communication and oversight to IT consultants and users. Serve as the subject matter expert on clinical operations, clinical workflows, end-user behavior, system configuration, SFTP processes, interfaces, data packages from University systems. Act as lead on team of interdisciplinary super users to optimize training opportunities and implement improvement strategies. Act as the primary vendor contact and provide maintenance and technical/functional support for EHR applications and interfaces including PointnClick, ProPHARM, Quest Diagnostics, and Viztek. Perform data analysis, business process capture, workflow documentation, onboarding and ongoing training and design activities in collaboration with functional users and super-user groups. Coordinate EHR activities, business processes, security monitoring, and training of SHS and CAPS staff to ensure data integrity is maintained. Develop functional test scripts and perform testing of new functionality, upgrades, patches, and fixes. Develop and recommend policies and procedures designed to increase end user accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of systems to functional users and managers. Create and maintain detailed and accurate business process and documentation for SHS, CAPS, and S.A.F.E. Place. Assist with project management for EHR and other health IT related application projects. Prepare and coordinate onboarding of CAPS staff onto PNC. Research, organize, establish telehealth capability and reliability. Assess systems and necessary set up for electronic prescribing. Determine and guide step for multiple software and functional migrations (e.g., PNC, ProPHARM, Viztek). Coordinate user centric development and functional standards of new enterprise network (SHIMS 2.0). In support of project demands and functional needs, organize and guide hardware purchasing, movement, and training for SHS and CAPS staff. EHR Operations Perform user access management and other onboarding tasks following approval from SHS or CAPS Directors. Maintain records for user accounts and access control. Collaborate with the ITS and Enterprise Applications Management (EAM) teams to maintain and troubleshoot interfaces and SFTP processes. Provision and de-provision EHR or other health IT systems users and roles. Analyze, document, troubleshoot, and maintain EHR application interfaces including PointnClick, ProPHARM, Quest Diagnostics, and Viztek. Reporting and analyzation of data to provide transparency of key performance indicators of clinical staff. Perform daily systems operations related EHR applications and interfaces including PointnClick, ProPHARM, Quest Diagnostics, and Viztek, including batch data processing. Work with vendors and ITS to resolve issues. Data Reporting and Communications Work in conjunction with SHS and CAPS leadership requests for ad-hoc and standard reporting, including developing custom reports and queries as needed. Send batch text, email, survey, or secure messages to internal students via internal sources (i.e. PnC or Navigator) as part of reporting duties for CAPS and SHS. Appropriately analyze information and tail communication content to peer, supervisory, executive, and customer audiences. Keep immediate supervisor and designated others fully and accurately informed concerning work progress, including present and potential work problems and suggestions for new or improved ways for dealing with such problems. Working with data sourcing to source and validate data completeness, from acquisition to report delivery Develop and manage user guides and PnC materials for FAQs and to support SHS and Caps staff learning objectives. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in IT, health informatics, or a related field. 3 years of project management experience with data analysis and reporting. 3 years experience working in or with health care; 3 years experience working with an electronic medical record. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and application. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Capable of communicating in user terms and IT terms to break down complicated scenarios into actionable tasks. Work independently to solve complex computing problems while balancing multiple priorities with varying scope and timing. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Strong ability to reason logically and creatively to identify and resolve problems. Strong ability to read, write and speak fluently in English, and to be patient, tactful, and professional under all circumstances. Ability to relay technical information effectively to non-technical users. Three years health information management systems experience and experience configuring and supporting these types of applications, relevant EHR systems experience configuring and supporting EHR applications and interfaces such as PointnClick, ProPHARM, Quest Diagnostics, and Viztek. Advanced knowledge of clinical operations, documenting business processes, business system architecture and associated technologies. Knowledge of relational databases and strong data analysis, problem solving, and documentation. Experience developing training materials and delivering training content. Experience developing and/or customizing clinic templates, surveys, forms, and patient portal interface. Experience developing clinical decision support protocols, tracked tasks and other healthcare and or mental health initiatives. Experience with onboarding, developing training materials and providing ongoing training. Report writing and data analysis skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills and experience determining priorities effectively while adhering to deadlines. Database query skills and the ability to follow programming logic. Excellent meeting facilitation and presentation skills. Experience managing projects.
