The Team

With innovative and exciting operational initiatives, the Authentication Operations team is a fast-paced and passion-filled team to be a part of. This team has successfully launched watches, handbags, and sneakers authentication in the US, CA, AU, UK and DE in under two years. We are a group of diverse skillsets who together make a complete business unit. We are seeking a strategic business analyst to anchor our decision making and ongoing budgeting management.


Responsibilities

You will be joining as the sole finance specialist within the operations team, with the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on a fast-growing business within eBay. In this role, you will be a key business partner providing direction to the strategic operations and facilities teams, as well as executive leadership. This includes financial modelling, P&L management and reconciliation, budgeting and forecasting and financial analysis driving future opportunities.


The Job


Create and own finance tracking processes for all authentication cost

Define, manage, and analyze the unit cost of authentication programs and proactively identify opportunities for cost savings

Track and report cost savings and lean cost initiatives

Generate weekly and monthly Operations metrics, including Material, Labor, overhead and efficiency/capacity metrics

Create, update, and manage operational P&L for all authentication programs including financial models & forecasts

Perform analyses of financial and operational drivers to craft our short- and long-term strategic plan

Support and drive strategic decision making based on financial forecasting

Support strategic direction through financial modelling with clear proposals and suggestions


Qualifications


Bachelors degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering or other related field

8+ years work experience in a relevant field with demonstrated financial acumen and a track record of leveraging data for business impact

Exemplary financial modeling, accounting, cost center management, and analysis skills

Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomy

Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload

Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions

Demonstrated experience with proactively identifying areas of opportunity and getting cross-functional buy-in on new initiatives

Comfort with working in high-visibility roles under tight deadlines with minimal oversight

Highly proficient in advanced Excel with strong attention to detail

Intermediate SQL knowledge preferred

Ability to use data to identify and quantify opportunities for growth or profitability improvement

Strong communication skills and comfort working with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership

A self-starter with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.

$126,800 - $187,550
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
