Job Responsibilities

• Function autonomously to conduct patient histories and physicals for complex critical, chronically ill, and acute patients.


• Order, perform, and analyze diagnostic and therapeutic tests concerning the needs of the patient, and follow up on a regular basis to ensure their needs are being adequately met.


• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to ensure the health and comfort of all patients.


• Implement measures to assist patients in regaining and sustaining physiologic endurance to include serving in the first assisting role.


• Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.


• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and monitoring the effectiveness of all interventions.


• Facilitate the staff and the patient as well as the family decision-making process by providing educational tools for self-management of acute or chronic illnesses.

Job Skills & Qualifications



Requirements:

- Active and unrestricted state or Federal license

- Board Certified or Eligible in FM or IM

- Active and unrestricted DEA

- Active BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications mandatory

- Full vaccinations and immunizations

- 3 References

- Must have been practicing within discipline within the last 6 months

Locums, Inc. is seeking Family Practice and Urgent Care Physicians for full-time services in at the Pinon, AZ hospital working with the native Navajo people.  The position is for 3 months with extensions possible. All valid state or Federal licenses acceptable.  Board certified and Board eligible physicians in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine are both accepted.

 About the Opportunity:

- Period of Performance is approx. 1/1/21 to 3/30/21 w/ possible 3-month extensions until 12/31/21

- 8am - 5pm, Monday – Friday with minimal overtime

- Estimated 3 patients/hour

- 70% Adult and 30% Pediatric patient volume

- Provide local populace with Primary, Family medical care and Urgent Care services in an out-patient and telemedicine setting.

- Pinon Health Center is part of the Chinle, AZ hospital group.  Lodgings will be in Chinle, AZ

- Located near the Canyon de Chelly National Monument.  Perfect for the outdoor enthusiast with access to spectacular biking, hiking, and fishing.
