Fabrication Specialist A - Robotic Painter Operators

Job Description: AIRCRAFT PAINTER - Robotic painter operators
Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks. Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks. Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains. Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products. Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation. Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements. Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.
- Successfully completing training is a contingency for this assignment
- HM would like some of these contractors, if correct fit to go FTE further down the road
- 1 to 5 things HM is looking for on resume: Any painting experience (even house painting), preference for spray application, preference for hazardous waste experience (HM said they've had folks who worked for Walmart and were trained with hazardous waste), and good attitudes regarding folks who want to work in a team environment
- Cool one liner on the SOW: 2 things here: working on horizontal stabilizer, running robotic painters that will paint horizontal stabilizer and using robotic paint equipment for that. AND Painting aerospace flight deck components, all commercial models
