Come join a growing finance team! This individual will lead the FP&A function for APPC (Sono Bellos surgeon entity) and is integral to the companys financial quarterly forecast, annual operating plan (AOP), variance analysis and special projects. The role will also oversee surgeon compensation. This position acts as an analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support optimal business decision making. This role interacts significantly with the members of the Executive team on both monthly activities and special projects. The position reports to the Director of FP&A.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, surgeon compensation, other expenses, and capital expenditures to provide insights into variances between actual and expected financial results. Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
  • Oversee and manage the continued development of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Quarterly reforecasting activities for APPC.
  • Prepare analysis and reporting for our monthly reporting package.
  • Manage a Financial Analyst who owns surgeon compensation.
  • Oversee bi-monthly surgeon compensation preparation, planning and analysis. Evaluate and refine surgeon compensation process as the business scales; identify KPIs to track against and provide ongoing headcount and labor analysis.
  • Collaborate with members of the Executive team on quantitative decision-making support, monthly analysis, and special projects.
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies.
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
  • Assist in presentations to Executive team, investors, and lenders.
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis and provide the Director of FP&A with timely, insightful analysis of operating results against plan or forecast.
  • Decision Support partner with Executive team members and provide quantitative support.
  • Understand the inner workings of the business and how the various levers can be pulled to drive the business.
  • Build and improve upon reporting of financial statements, internal analytics, and management presentations. Work closely with accounting and other internal business units to ensure forward planning models continue to align with GAAP financial reporting.
  • Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 4+ years experience as Senior of Financial Planning and Analysis OR 2+ years of experience as the Manager of FP&A.
  • Strong leadership skills required. Experience in multi-unit, multi state and high growth, closely held companies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required. Experience data mining across multiple platforms.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Demonstrated influencing skills, with proven ability to influence executives and business decision makers.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and critically, highly driven, and self-motivated.
  • Comfortable in working with last minute requests of significance including the pressure of multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with ability to design and implement solutions.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statements.
  • Systems inclined with deep curiosity for leveraging systems to work more efficiently.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Benefits

COMPENSATION:

At Sono Bello, we believe that our team members are the keys to our success. The compensation range for this role is $105,000 - $115,000, depending on experience.
