Cybersecurity Vulnerability Manager (Hybrid)


Description


We are looking for a talented Cybersecurity Vulnerability Manager (Hybrid) to join and help lead Cummins Cybersecurity Operation team, based out of Columbus, IN.


In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:




Manage the Technology Risk function for the organization, creating, managing, and assessing controls and compliance, and other areas on an ongoing basis.


Oversight for vulnerability analysis and management process, which includes managing vulnerability scanning/reporting process. Includes use of campus vulnerability, SIEM systems and log management systems.


Work with CISO, security staff and IT staff to perform technical analysis of high impact vulnerabilities and coordinate/verify response with appropriate technical teams to assess incidents, vulnerability scans, patching status, secure baselines, and penetration test results.


Provide metrics and data on findings to ensure prioritization for remediation and closure, driving remediation and risk mitigation planning, execution, and oversight (strategies).


Support project initiatives to improve risk assessment and review processes, and problem solve and perform necessary research to identify additional options/solutions


Drive strategies to reduce vulnerabilities and manage programs to track and reduce control violations.




Qualifications


To be successful in this role you will need the following:




College, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business or a related subject required.


Minimum seven years of experience in vulnerability management or other operational/tactical information security role, to include three years of experience working with enterprise vulnerability management software/appliance.


Experience tailoring vulnerability risk ratings based on organizations environment/external threat.


Capability to interpret technical reports on vulnerabilities, exploits, and malware; and troubleshoot scanner failures at a network and application level.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
