As part of our remote Security Engineering team, you are on the frontlines of our operations.  Whether that's assessing client assets and guiding them through your findings, offering your expertise to the larger community through presentations at conventions or the creation of new tools, or teaching and mentoring the next generation of engineers, our Security Engineering team is the heart of our organization.



The ideal candidate is someone who is unafraid of tackling unfamiliar challenges, able to self-teach new skills, articulate technically complex concepts in simple terms, and often finds themselves tinkering with new tools or projects.



Responsibilities




  • Perform security assessments of client assets such as, but not limited to, network infrastructure, web or cloud infrastructure, or software and mobile applications.

  • Author reports of assessment findings including technical details of actions performed, contextual observations related to risk impacts, and summaries of engagements.

  • Present assessment reports to clients using various forms of multimedia, answer questions related to findings, and offer additional insight to assist client security practices.

  • Work alongside other team members to accomplish goals and milestones on rigid timelines.





Requirements




  • Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills

  • Able to self-manage time and tasks across multiple projects as delegated

  • Experience with programming or scripting such as Bash, Powershell, Python, C#, etc.

  • Proven ability to take on complex problems independently and to generate creative solutions

  • Eagerness to obtain domain knowledge in order to effectively demonstrate technical qualifications

  • Teamwork skills and ability to get work done through others

  • Capable of operating independently

  • A portfolio of projects such as a personal GitHub

  • Interested in business development of a startup

  • Industry certifications such as OSCP, GPEN, etc.
