Required:

  • Active Security clearance is required.
  • IAT II on day one; IAT III within 60 days.
  • POAMS, IAVAS, ACAS analysis; not incident response and watch analyst work; vulnerability management; VMT role with support of CSSP.
  • Having USMC (or DoD) inspection (CSSP/CCRI) experience is extremely beneficial.
  • Data-analytical, process-oriented, detail-focused QA SME to assist with investigations/inspections, audits, process improvements. Gather, analyze and present data to leadership. Assist in after actions. Maintain data.

Duties:

  • Develops quality assurance plans for MCCOG. Develops quality assurance goals and objectives.
  • Develops, publishes, maintains and executes the Quality Assurance process document, defining organizational quality assurance requirements, mapping them to decisions and actions that create and use the information in support of the command's mission and goals.
  • Develops and assures quality assurance schedule of activities is in support of the command's mission and goals and that command quality assurance process is in accordance with Capability Maturity Model of the DOD-sponsored Software Engineering Institute.
  • Evaluate user quality assurance requirements relating to procedures, methods, and products of major functional areas of the headquarters, its subordinate commands and other Armed Services, to determine the compliance or noncompliance with existing quality standards.
  • Meet and interview project management to determine compliance with organizational standards. Gather and analyze project data on current development activity on organization projects. This includes examining procedures, methods, workflow and making recommendations based on a balance between requirements, cost effectiveness and available resources. Non-compliance with organizational standards are formally documented in Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
  • Analyze and review quality assurance of the project. Reviews sources of supporting data used to provide evidence of compliance.
  • Analyzes data in context of broad knowledge of system engineering concepts and techniques.
  • Categorizes non-compliance items into logical groupings to provide meaningful metrics that highlight problem areas for senior management action.
  • Lead and instruct team members on quality assurance areas of project. Use automated quality assurance software to analyze project quality assurance requirements and generate briefing material for command decision-making.
  • Conducts research and recommends standard methodology for the conduct of command standard process development.
  • Participates in team discussions and recommends a course of action based on selected methodology.
  • Performs as quality assurance expert for the Information Mission Area (IA). Reports and provides expert consultation to command Management Steering Committee (MSC) in both QA and Process Improvement program activities.
  • Review project documents and presents recommendations to command leadership whether to proceed with conduct of project. Arrange and coordinate necessary process training of project team members. Coordinate with subject matter experts as required.
  • Serves as a QA and organizational process technical advisor, consultant, and representative on seminars, committees, etc. involving automatic data processing, hardware, software, and related procedures and policies.
  • Visits and establishes/maintains contacts with private industry, Armed Forces and varied echelon of agencies and industry to include U.S. Cyber Command and Marine Forces Cyber.
  • Analyze inspection and audit reports for critical trends, quality process performance degradation, and maintenance compliance issues.
  • Perform visual, in-process, or final inspections to verify work operations are in compliance with technical requirements, specifications, laws, and regulations.
  • Resolve technical issues relating to quality assurance (QA) or quality controls problems.
  • Identify quality improvements based on lessons learned from audits, investigative analyses, or special studies.
  • Identify major MCCOG QA program accomplishments and weaknesses during the conduct of inspections and investigations.
  • Maintain QA program-related documentation (e.g., process flows and narratives, associated risk matrices, control objectives, control activities, appointment memorandums, MICP training records, and Statement of Assurance) for the organization.
