Working Hours:




  • Monday - Friday; 8am-5pm

  • Travel: Phoenix, AZ ( Must Travel to Phoenix for 2 week start up)



Scope of Position:




  • Project focus will be implementation of robust, cost effective automation and process machine systems in customers manufacturing plants.

  • Member of a cross-functional project teams through concept generation and development, detail design / build, system integration and production start-up in manufacturing



Day to Day Responsibilities:




  • Capable of learning the department's state of the art knowledge and capability in commercially available machine / motion control systems, system integration, part sensing

  • Assigned to engineering project teams that are responsible to deliver robust, cost effective automation and process machine systems to customers manufacturing plants and processes.

  • Interface with external system integrators and machine builders to successfully deliver fully integrated process equipment systems to customers plants on-time, on-budget, and that satisfy performance measures.

  • Prepare initial CAD design layouts of both complete electrical controls systems and control sub-sections under the direction of a more senior project team member. May review electrical / robot integration drawing packages for conformance to standards.

  • Prepare or direct the generation of construction drawings, installation drawings, and parts lists.

  • Develop and support robot programming as required on assigned projects.

  • Routinely perform elementary design calculations; i.e., motor speed/torque, I/and memory sizing, area of control/sensitivity of proximity and phot equipment, etc.

  • Actively participate in all phases of the project including design, fabrication ,off-line integration and testing, installation, production start-up support, training of plant personnel, and technology transfer.



Independently follow construction of equipment in vendors’ facilities.




  • Program motion control systems vis Studi5000 and servmotors.



Qualifications




  • Good experience writing steps in the PLC tcontrol various sequences. Knowledge of robotic movement and integration may be necessary.



Experience:




  • Knowledge of Rockwell Factory Talk

  • Hands on programming Logix Studio5000

  • Knowledge of CompactLogix 5000

  • Knowledge of RsView ME

  • Knowledge of Motion Control and servos

  • Knowledge of Robotics

  • Ability tread electrical schematics

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical system

  • Ability to concurrent engineering philosophies to solve issues



Education required:




  • BS Electrical Engineering Technology

  • or Associates with applicable experience



Experience required:




  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience

  • Equipment or software experience preferred: Rockwell Automation
