Monday-Friday 9:30-6; plus taking call (standby) hours to cover every other weekend. X-ray and CT experience requiredResponsible for taking quality radiographs and working with the radiologist and other radiological technologists. Must be qualified to perform CT procedures. Must be able to work independently in all areas of radiography including the emergency and operating room. Position requires technologists to handle any clerical work needed in the the radiology department (e.g. scheduling; distributing reports; answering phones). Position requires standby and after hours/weekend/holiday callback, and technologists must be able to respond to the facility in less than thirty (30) minutes. Ability to make contact in a calm, professional manner with people who may be under physical and emotional stress.Required Education: High school graduation and an AS degree in radiological technology, plus the satisfactory completion and graduation from a formal radiologic technology training program at an AMA approved school are required. Current BLS CPR Certification is required.Experience: Has passed the registry exam given by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT). Must hold and maintain ARRT certificate. Must hold and maintain a California License in Radiology Technology (CRT). Must have a good working knowledge of Radiology. Technologists performing mammography must hold and maintain a current California license in mammography and perform the minimum of required number of studies to maintain that license. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have a good working knowledge of radiology. Equipment used: Toshiba CT, GE Xray, Fuji Reader (CR not digital), MedWeb PACS system.
