The client is looking for a Business Analyst/Consultant III - working within the School Nutrition team.

Top Required Skills & Years of Experience:

8-10 years of experience in the below
-IT Business analyst/consultant experience in Requirements gathering, analysis and working collaboratively with development teams.
-Experience in development and elaboration of user stories, use cases or business scenarios to validate system requirements.
-Experience in writing technical assistance documents like user manuals and training documentation.
Nice to Have Skills:

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Experience using judgement to plan and accomplish goals and work independently to complete complicated tasks.
-Experience on USDA programs related to Eligibility benefits.

Duration of the Contract: Current contract lasts until 6/30/2025, with possibility of extension
Onsite or Remote? Candidates must be CURRENT WI residents. No relocation allowed. This position can work 100% remote (within the state of WI). Selected candidate MUST be onsite first day to pick up equipment and complete new employee orientation.
Project details: Under the general supervision of the School Nutrition Team Director, this position is responsible for performing the work of an IT Business Analyst. This position is responsible for building relationships with Summer EBT staff to understand information technology (IT) needs and provide service. This position provides technical assistance and support to staff on the School Nutrition Team in the planning, design, development, training, implementation, and review of IT solutions. This position will work with program area leads and external customers (DHS) to gather system requirements and to prioritize requests; participate in project development meetings, status report meetings, sprint planning sessions, and all other meetings concerning the group; manage the process of taking business requirements and translating them into business and technical requirement that drive application design. Collaborate with development team, subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between usability, performance, and product needs. Contribute to the development and elaboration of user stories with cross-functional teams and help in creating functional and non-functional business requirements.
Business Analyst/Consultant capabilities with 8 - 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Independently, performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The School Nutrition Team Director will monitor progress of the projects to ensure timeliness.
Overview:

The School Nutrition Team is responsible for assisting the WI Department of Health Services (DHS) with the administration of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Summer EBT Program. The program must be administered following federal regulations. This is a unique program and requires specific applications, programming, language, and platforms. The School Nutrition Team is responsible for maintaining a database of program eligible students, hosting a state-wide program application, completing the application verification process, and providing DHS data needed to issue the program benefits to households.
Pay range: $35 to $40 per hour on W2.
